Glock 20 Prices - I bought a G20 a year ago from a Glock store and it is a great sidearm for use on my ranch in NW Colorado. We are completely confident in his ability to handle any situation that may arise in the countryside. Recoil and muzzle jump with winchester silver tips is very manageable. For the big game hunter, it's a top-shelf sidearm.
I heard this is the best weapon for those bear encounters I have been having in increasing numbers since last year's trout fishing.

Field stripping is a bit difficult with small release glasses - magazines are difficult to load by hand.

I have since had a release retrofit "bar" installed, which makes cleaning it much easier after a day's shooting.
I also bought a plastic endcap to fill in the handle next to where the belly is. I heard dirt can get into the firing mechanism there - but IDK that's for sure yet.
With a full mag, be sure to push it firmly into the body of the gun - it's embarrassing if the mag falls out. Hopefully the spring weakens a little.
It has 20 SF. My third Glock and my favorite of the 8 handguns. 15 rounds of 10mm is a lot of firepower.

I went to the range last week and shot 3 different ammo. BLAZERS, SIG / SAUER AND hand scores. All 3 performed without issue. But I will say that I like ARMSCOR the best.
I fired all the FMJs in single fire and semi-automatic. The gun works great! Of course it's a GLOCK!
I have an old G19 from the early 1990's, it is still a GREAT gun. I always had it, or my RUGER 1911 45ACP when I first bought it.

I have less than 4 weapons, but I like more power! BOSEN, IE my wife likes small guns. I never wanted to make him angry enough to shoot me; he is a better shot than me! His dad raised him in NRA competition in the late 50's and early 60's, and he won a bunch of trophies and always beat the guy! That sure hurt!
I'm torn between 10mm vs .45 ACP. But after reviewing many ballistics and performance studies, there is no question... G20 wins in all departments: muzzle and target speed and power, trajectory, etc. even though the ammunition is quite expensive, I'm still glad I won this. mainly for personal protection but if a black bear shows up in my yard again he can get tin shampoo!
I have been on the verge of getting one of these for a while. Never thought about Glocks because of the plastic and lack of manual safety. But one in .45 acp fell into my lap and it has grown on me a lot - quality, ergo, simplicity and weight. So this will be my very first 10mm, based on my previous Glock experience... 15 rounds of 10mm should be fine for anything I will encounter in the Southern Rockies that I call "home".
I'm on my second Glock 10mm and I love it. It packs a recoil but nothing "unbearable". I'm not a big guy but straight out of the box with a little tweaking to my taste (no add-ons, just stock) and hits my mark every time. BIG WEAPONS!!!

This is my first gun, and like your first love, it will always be your favorite. Houston is a shorts and weather shirt nine months out of the year and most of the time I carry its little brother, the Glock 29. But when it's cooler and I wear a jacket, I still pack the G20. With 16 rounds hollow point I think I can make everything that can come up. If Sasquatch had a bad judgement, the G20 would do more to make him disappointed. Love this gun.
